In contrast to hanging bird houses which are usually suspended from above, mounted bird houses are mounted on a bird pole or a pedestal. When there are no suitable tree branches or overhand, mounted bird houses could be a good decision. But we definitely would recommend you to use a squirrel baffle against predators. Wild birds will be encouraged to nest in mounted bird houses if they are mounted properly. |
